Founded in 1992, Fiber Intermediate Products Company (FIPCO) has grown to become one of the leading producers of Dimethyl Terephthalate (DMT) in the Middle East.
The company’s DMT plant was designed by Krup Uhde and Krupp Koppers and constructed under a technology license from Oxynova AG (formerly Dynamit Nobel), Germany. Since its inception, FIPCO has been committed to enhancing the quality of its DMT production through the expertise of highly skilled engineers and the use of advanced systems.
In its early years, FIPCO’s DMT production capacity reached 60,000 tons per year and expanded rapidly through the addition of new facilities and strategic acquisitions. By 2005, the plant’s production capacity had increased to 90,000 tons annually to meet growing demand from both domestic and international customers.
In the years that followed, the company pursued international collaborations and strategic development initiatives, which contributed to regional innovation and expansion. FIPCO also launched pilot production of Dioctyl Terephthalate (DOTP), further strengthening its footprint in Iran and the wider Middle East. These efforts have positioned FIPCO as a well-established chemical manufacturer in the region.
Today, more than 25 years after its establishment, FIPCO continues to rely on the dedication and expertise of its workforce to overcome challenges and deliver innovative, high-quality solutions to a broad range of markets worldwide.
