This reaction yields <strong>p-toluic acid<\/strong> and <strong>monomethyl terephthalate<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\">The resulting mixture, known as the <strong>oxidate<\/strong>, is subsequently <strong>esterified with methanol<\/strong> to produce the corresponding <strong>methyl esters<\/strong>, collectively referred to as <strong>raw ester<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\">The raw ester is then separated by <strong>fractional distillation<\/strong> into three streams:<\/span><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: left;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\"><strong>pT-Ester fraction<\/strong> (recycled to the oxidation stage)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\"><strong>DMT fraction<\/strong> (purified by crystallization)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\"><strong>Residue<\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\">A portion of the purified DMT is processed in a <strong>solid-state unit<\/strong> to prepare it for <strong>export<\/strong>.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\">This high-purity product is primarily used in the manufacture of <strong>polyester resins, fibers, and films<\/strong>, as well as <strong>plasticizers<\/strong> such as <strong>DOTP<\/strong>, <strong>PBT<\/strong>, and <strong>CHDM<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: iransans; font-size: 18pt; color: #333399;\"><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/fipcoiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DMT_EN.pdf\"><strong>MSDS<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"tab-pane fade in \" role=\"tabpanel\" id=\"wgdu-1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"tab-image\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fipcoiran.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/chemicalcheck_laborbild-1-900x675-1.jpg\" alt=\"Dioctyl Terephtalate ( DOTP)\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"tab-content-item has_image\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\"><strong>Dioctyl Terephthalate (DOTP)<\/strong> is an organic compound with the chemical formula C\u2082\u2084H\u2083\u2088O\u2084. As a non-toxic plasticizer, DOTP exhibits excellent compatibility with polymeric materials, particularly in PVC applications. It is widely used in the production of medical devices, toys, synthetic leather, and other related products. Due to its environmentally friendly characteristics, DOTP has attracted significant attention in the plasticizer industry.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: iransans;\">DOTP esters are primarily synthesized through the reaction of <strong>Dimethyl Terephthalate (DMT)<\/strong> with <strong>2-Ethylhexanol<\/strong>, under pressurized conditions in the presence of catalyst. In the subsequent stage, the <strong>methanol<\/strong> formed during the reaction, along with any excess <strong>2-Ethylhexanol<\/strong>, is removed through a <strong>two-step vacuum distillation<\/strong> process.
